都市部における余白とコミュニケーションの創出

青山一丁目駅から徒歩4分の位置にあるビンテージマンションに、茶室が併設されたシェ
ア型オフィス兼コミュニティスペース「AWAI TOKYO」。目に見えない“文化”の価値を
大切にし、都市の喧騒の中に“余白”を取り戻す場を創出。クリエイターやスタートアップ
の創造性を支える拠点として、自社メンバーだけでなく、多様なパートナーとの関係性を
育む場として計画しました。私達は、オフィスに併設する2畳の茶室を制作しました。日
本の伝統、現代のライフスタイルが混じり合うするエリアの文脈を踏襲し、伝統と現代を
シームレスに繋ぐ場へ。赤坂に息づく文化を発信する、経済と文化のコミュニケーション
のハブとなるように企画しました。
“AWAI TOKYO” is a shared office and community space featuring an integrated tea room, located in a vintage apartment building just a four-minute walk from Aoyama-itchome Station. It was created to cherish the intangible value of “culture” and to carve out a space of “negative space”—a moment of calm—amidst the urban bustle. Designed as a hub to support the creativity of creators and startups, the space fosters connections not only among internal team members but also with a diverse range of partners. We constructed a two-tatami-mat tea room within the office. Drawing on the context of an area where Japanese tradition and modern lifestyles blend, the space seamlessly bridges the traditional and the contemporary. It was conceived to serve as a communication hub for the intersection of business and culture, showcasing the cultural spirit that thrives in Akasaka.
