“AWAI TOKYO” is a shared office and community space featuring an integrated tea room, located in a vintage apartment building just a four-minute walk from Aoyama-itchome Station. It was created to cherish the intangible value of “culture” and to carve out a space of “negative space”\u2014a moment of calm\u2014amidst the urban bustle. Designed as a hub to support the creativity of creators and startups, the space fosters connections not only among internal team members but also with a diverse range of partners. We constructed a two-tatami-mat tea room within the office. Drawing on the context of an area where Japanese tradition and modern lifestyles blend, the space seamlessly bridges the traditional and the contemporary. It was conceived to serve as a communication hub for the intersection of business and culture, showcasing the cultural spirit that thrives in Akasaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
