“Fika” is a Nordic custom\u2014popular in Sweden\u2014of taking a coffee break or a moment of rest. Many people feel nervous or uneasy about visiting hair salons; therefore, rather than designing a space solely for getting a haircut, we created an interior that evokes the relaxed atmosphere of a fika\u2014a place where one can take a breather during the day and feel as casual about getting a haircut as one would about grabbing a cup of coffee. The layout centers on semi-private styling and shampooing booths defined by soft partitions, complemented by a makeup area for use after treatments. The color palette features beige accented with pale pink plasterwork (Jolipate), while materials and textures\u2014such as two-tone wall finishes and herringbone-patterned vinyl tiles\u2014combine to create a space where clients can truly unwind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
